The Arkansas Insurance Hall of Fame banquet for 2020 has been cancelled due to concerns associated with Covid-19 and public gatherings. As a result, the Board has decided to suspend the class of inductees for 2020 as well. This is a difficult decision, but the health and safety of the inductees, their families, and industry participants is the Board's primary concern. It is also important that all inductees are provided the recognition that each individually deserves. The Board will push any nominations received for 2020 into the 2021 class for consideration.

Again, this was a difficult decision as well because the Arkansas Insurance Hall of Fame has a dual mission. In addition to recognizing leaders in the insurance industry, proceeds from the annual banquet support the University of Central Arkansas Insurance and Risk Management program by funding scholarships to deserving students. This program is a valuable asset to the insurance industry in Arkansas through the academic development of future insurance professionals. These graduates are working throughout our industry and have served to further elevate the products and services we provide in our state and communities.

We know that the Coronavirus has disrupted the business of America greatly. Fortunately, the insurance industry has proven to be better equipped than most other industries to weather this storm. Because of this, and the continued need to develop youthful insurance talent in the state of Arkansas, the Board is encouraging organizations and individuals who have supported the Arkansas Insurance Hall of Fame in the past to continue to do so this year with your donations. Our mission continues despite this pandemic, and we need your help!!

The insurance industry's support of the Arkansas Insurance Hall of Fame mission has been exceptional. As a result, we have been able to publicly recognize the accomplishment of our past inductees while supporting the future of our great industry through the development of tomorrows inductees.
